Hitchcock Old North Chair

I was driving to Provincetown one day last year, and I spied this chair with a blown out seat on the corner of the Old North Cemetery in North Truro.  A true chair nerd has difficulty leaving an orphaned, scared chair by the side of the road, so I banged a U-ey, and snagged it.

I didn't do much except peel off a sticker on the back crest, and put in a new cane seat.  The previous caner had signed her work on the underside back in 1984, so I scrawled my name on the adjacent rail.

The gold leaf is still blingy, and it's an adorable newer chair.  Not too new, but not as old as the Ginny Chair on the other page.
